Using Filter Operators
1. Avoid using filter operators that allow the user to select values. The following operators should not be used:
- Equals (Select)
- Equals (Multiple)
- Equals (Popup)
- Equals (Checkboxes)
Instead use the operator Equals or Equals (List) and enter values.
- Use Equals (List) to enter multiple comma separated values.
- If needed, the following fields have overrides and can be used with the Equals selection operators
For a report to open quickly, never save a report with filter operators set to Equals (Select, Multiple, Popup, or Checkboxes)
2. By default, when reports are opened, the report will run using the filters it was saved with. To prevent the report from running when opened, use the option to require all filters to be specified and leave the filter values blank when you save the report. This will prevent the report from running when you open it.
